Christmas Dinner.

This year, I was feeling extra Christmas-y so decided that I would cook the entire Christmas Dinner for my family, but considering it was only for six people, the job wasn't that big. I got up at the crack of dawn (8am) to prepare the turkey and peel the potatoes and halfway through the day everything was under control. Fast forward to 4pm and I was frantically running around the kitchen trying to bake a cake as well as make the perfect gravy but thank goodness for my sister who helped out. It was so lovely to make my first Christmas dinner and the food tasted amazing. We had so much fun afterwards playing games and watching movies and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you a happy new year in advance. I hope you're all enjoying the leftovers to!

Five Guys

The next stop on my search for the best burger in London was Five Guys. After hearing endless raves about the American chain, I thought it was about time I paid the restaurant a visit. A new one just opened up fairly close to me which means that I didn't have to trek all the way to Covent Garden (result!) so really  I had no excuse. The atmosphere was great and the smell of frying burgers when you first walk in will make your mouth water. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, ketchup and mustard and it was divine. I loved every single bite and I finished it before I could even blink. The fries on the side were lovely but I think I prefer the ones at Byron. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be visiting again and again and again. Next time I go I will have to try a hot dog or a sandwich! I'm not sure I can say its the best burger I've had just yet as I still have tons of places to go including Honest Burgers. If you know any other places I can grab a great burger, let me know in the comments.

All I want for Christmas...

Its been quite a while since I created a wishlist and since we're so close to Christmas, I thought it was about due time for a new one. This is everything that I've had my eye on lately and I'd be greatful to get even one of them for Christmas. 1. I only own dark lipstick shades and I've been searching for a nude that I can wear a bit casually. I stumbled across this one in Tesco last week and fell in love with it. 2. Everyone owns a co-ord but me! You can find this gorgeous one on Asos. 4. If you didn't already know I am obsessed with The Mindy Project and when I found this jumper on Etsy, I completely fangirled. 5. Looking at my shoe collection, I don't own any versatile trainers - expect my converses which I don't really think counts. These Nikes are beautiful and after seeing them on everyone, I really would love a pair.

Instagram Diary

Last month, I finally made an Instagram account! I've seen a couple of these Instagram 'diaries' so I thought I would do one myself.

1. Christmas Jumper day. I love this whimsical jumper I bought from H&M, it was only £8 as well.

2. Real Technique Brushes. As I am slowly growing a proper makeup collection, I thought it was only right that I bought some brushes to help out. I got these off of Amazon for way less than the original price. Now I just need the face brushes!

3. Christmas Lights. One of the best parts of Christmas is the decorations.

4. Shirley and Patricia Meet up. It was amazing meeting these two. They are both two of my favourite Youtubers and their blogs give me the best outfit inspiration.

5. Iconic Makeup Revolution. After hearing so so much about these eyeshadow palettes and how they are one of the best Naked Palette dupes out there, I just knew I had to buy them. One palette is an incredible £4 at Superdrug and I bought them during a 3 for 2!

6. Eastbourne Beach. A few weeks ago, my family and I spent the weekend at Eastbourne for the Mission Worship conference and I had the best time ever, Look at how beautiful the view is, sigh, makes me wish I lived near the sea.

7. Eastbourne again. I prefer sandy beaches over stony, but they still make for good pictures!

8. The Theatre. Studying Theatre means an array of trips and for this particular one, we went to go and watch The House That Will not Stand at the Tricyle and I loved it.

Music I've been loving.

I wrote a similar post earlier this year and since I had been listening to so much great music lately, I thought I would write a new one. Music is something I have and will always enjoy and I love writing about it on here.
Sia is an incredible artist who was also on my last list. She is fast becoming my favorite singer and I don't think she could ever disappoint me. Her incredible voice pours so much emotion into every single lyric and I can't get enough of her. If I ever have the opportunity to watch her live I would grab it with both hands because from what I've heard on Youtube, she is an amazing live singer. Her album 1000 Forms of Fear is a work of art that I cannot flaw. Listen to Dressed in Black, Fire Meet Gasoline and Eye of the Needle

I've loved She and Him for as long as I can remember so you can imagine my excitement when they came out with this classics album. Although the songs are covers, the unique stamp that the band put on each classic really does make it their own. The entire album was recorded live and accompanied by a 20-piece orchestra and it sounds heavenly. I love the feel of each song as it makes me feel as if I'm from the eras each song was originally written in. I think its a great album to pop on this Christmas. My favorites include Stars Fell on Alabama, Time after Time and Oh no, not my Baby.
Jealous is the second single off of Labrinth's new album which is yet to be released and I cannot wait to hear the rest! Labrinth has such a beautiful soulful voice that gives me goosebumps (thinking back to when Beneath Your Beautiful first came out) and Jealous creates that same effect. The lyrics of the song are so haunting and I cannot stop playing it back. Listen to it here.
Lorde is another one that has made it back onto my list. I personally think that Lorde is an amazing singer/songwriter and her new song for The Hunger Games Mockingjay shows her uniqueness. When I first listened to Yellow Flicker Beat, it wasn't my cup of tea but now I am OBSESSED. The song has a weird electro-pop type beat to it and you'll find it stuck in your head before you know it. Listen to it here.

What music have you been listening to latley? Let me know in the comments and make sure you check these songs out!

Flying Saucer and Buttermilk | Topshop nails

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you would know about my obsession love for Topshop nail polishes. For five pounds each I really do think you get an amazing quality finish (with about two layers) and I find that I can get at least five days wear without them chipping. I love practically all of their colours (especially the pastel) and always get such lovely comments when wearing them.
This colour is called Buttermilk and I absolutely love it. Its the only brown shade I own and I've found that its such a neutral soft colour that goes with so many outfits. It looks gorgeous with a couple of gold rings on as well. As you can tell, I wasn't very patient and have gotten
I bought this purple, Flying Saucer, as a replacement of my favourite of the range which was Parma violet, but I can't seem to find the colour online or in store anymore so I decided to get this one instead. Even though its a little brighter, I still really like it.

I pinched both this photos off my Instagram, so if you want to you can go follow me! I might start doing Insta Diart posts just to let you know what I've been up to during the week.
