Style Icons - Allison Williams

I've had my eye on Allison Williams for a while, I knew I wanted her to be one of my style icons at some point and I've finally gotten round to her. Most people know her from the tv show Girls. I don't actually watch Girls, I'm just happened to stumble across her one day on Dailymail. Ever since, I press on all her articles just so I can see what she is wearing. I love her style and I hope you do as well!

This dress is a beautiful statement. You can never go wrong with black and the styling of this dress is so simple and I love how the high halter neck drapes down the back. Its great that shes worn minimal makeup and jewelry, this means all focus is on the dress which it should be! If you're going to wear a high halterneck, you're hair definitely has to be up .

This is one of my favorite outfits of Allison's. I can only wish I could pull off something as sleek as white trousers. Once again, she's kept this very simple, no jewelry and demure make up look. The jacket is absolutely gorgeous. I love how vibrant and bold it is, a complete contrast to the pale colours that are the current trend. I would say this is a more of a summer night look, with the wedges as well.

How beautiful does she look here? I love this Valentino dress; the light colour, the embroidery and the cap sleeves, its beautiful. She gone for a bit more make up on but its still pretty basic. She has still kept the jewelry minimal with the beautiful statement earrings and and chunky ring on her finger.

Allison's gone a little bit bolder here, and I love it. The sheer panels on the shoulder of the over-sized white shirt match the sheer panels of the skirt fantastically. I love the material and shape of the skirt, its very chic sixties. The shoes are super cute and the red lipstick shes wearing really makes the whole look pop out.

This is without a doubt, my favorite of all of Allison's outfits. I love the high neck and long sleeves and the netting pattern that goes through the dress is beautiful! Her hair looks super cool and the shoes are perfect. And how hot are her legs?!

Allison looks super sophisticated in this baby blue mini dress. It really brings out the blue of her eyes. The style of the dress is once again very effortless and I love Allison's style just because of the simplicity.

Now time to create my own Allison inspired look!

Bare with me..

I know. I suck. My last post was ages ago and I feel terrible. I hate how much of my life school and exams has taken up but there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. I'm about as organised as a lemon so I'm finding it difficult to revise, complete homework, complete coursework (get this done early or you will hate your life, trust me) apply for a hundred sixth forms and keep up with blogging. I literally have a million unfinished posts and ideas that are just begging to be seen, but finding time is difficult. I have my mock exams round the corner, which literally means two weeks of no internet and so I can't promise anything. But even if it kills me, I will try my utmost best to get my Style Icon's post up before the end of this month (bearing in mind that's four days away-eep!)

And I also want to say a massive thanks to all the support I've been getting lately even though I've been practically non-existent these past few weeks. I gained a couple new followers, hit over 5000 page views and have had some lovely comments dropped off. So thank you, thank you, thank you for bearing with me! Things will be back to normal (fingers-crossed) by the Christmas holidays!

My Topshop Personal Shopping Experience.

Last week Thursday me and my beautiful friend Masite, made our way to Topshop for our Personal Shopping appointment. When I found out about Topshop's Personal Shopping, my first thought was that it would be an awesome birthday treat. Masite's birthday was in October so I had plenty of time to save up. I knew it would be the perfect gift for her because she never treats herself; she'd rather buy something for her mum instead. It took forever to book an appointment, because its a free service dates where almost impossible to find. The personal shoppers were lovely throughout the booking process, trying their very best to find a date that would suit us. When we finally got one, we were over the moon. Since the appointment was really early in the morning, I made sure to pick my outfit out the night before. The skirt I'm wearing is from Topshop, the top from Primark  and the boots were bought in this cute little shoe shop close to where I live. The lighting bolt earrings are my absolute favorite earrings ever; my sister bought them for me on sale in New Look. My nail polish is also from Topshop.

Once we got there, we were sat in the cute little waiting area while they just finished getting our room ready.  The art work on the wall was gorgeous and they had a little television screen showing off their latest collections. I absolutely loved the couch and the pillows so I got comfy and grabbed a Vogue magazine to read. They offered us a cup of tea or a glass of water, and I of course opted for the tea because I am obsessed. We only waited for about five minutes before we were introduced to our personal shoppers and taken to a room. It was all ver ver exciting!

Masite We had so much fun trying on the clothes, goofing around and taking pictures, we loved almost everything on the racks and just could not decide which ones we wanted to buy. Occasionally, the personal shoppers would pop in and give us a little advice. After the hour we sat down and finally picked the pink jumper with the denim skater skirt, the black jersey skirt, the white jumper with the stud detail and the gorgeous blue dress.

We took to the clothes to the personal shopping checkout (no cue!) and while we payed the clothes were being wrapped up and put in this fabulous bag. We had the best time ever and our personal shoppers were wonderful and incredibly helpful. Now I wished I booked for both of us! It is something I definitely have to do again and I recommend it as well. You will honestly have the time of your life, its way better than just ordinary shopping. There is no fuss, the clothes are all there and you can just take your time in a relaxed environment.

After all that shopping, we popped into Giraffe, one of my favorite places to eat.

Have you ever tried Personal Shopping? If you have let me know in the comments! Have a great evening.
