Skincare Update August - October.

Hellooooo there! A few months ago, I went on a shopping trip that lead to this massive haul. I spent the most in Boots, buying all sorts of skincare products and I promised I would do a follow up on them, so here it is.

Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight mask
By far, this is my favorite out all of the skincare products I bought. I've been using it twice a week every week since I bought it and the results are amazing. Not only do you wake up actually felling refreshed but my skin has significantly improved. I have quite dry skin on my face and this has helped reduce flakiness. I love putting it on my face as it also smells fantastic. I would say that it is definitely worth the price, as I'm nowhere near finishing the bottle; you only need a blob the size of the tip of your index finger to cover your whole face. I love this so much that I have to go back to Boots and try other Origin products. I hope this lasts me another couple of months.

Garnier Pure Active gentle deep clean cream wash
This was a bargain buy as it was on sale the day I bought it. I had never tried Garnier products before so I thought I'd give it a go. This face wash had me at the words 'gentle' and 'cream'. I love anything that is soft on my skin and this is just that. It does exactly what it says on the bottle - unclogs you pore and it really is great for sensitive skin. I've used this pretty much everyday, twice a day since the end of August and it is the perfect face wash for me. I only just finished the bottle today so I would say that it lasted for a decent length of time considering how much I used this. If you've been contemplating buying this, definitely do so!

Nivea pure and natural soothing day cream
I'm sorry but I hated, this face cream. I bought it in store that day because I had looked at it online and thought it was exactly what I needed. I needed something that was moisturising but not thick and heavy, and something that was for dry skin. So when I saw it I was like, perfect! But my goodness, the cream is to thick and absolutely stinks. It smells so so bad, like rotten eggs, uhh I'm shivering now, remembering the smell.I just could not bring myself to put it on my face because it just made me gag. This isn't a great review, but I just couldn't bring myself to use it long enough to say anything decent about it.

Nivea facial cleansing wipes
Ok, Nivea, lets try again. I had a better experience with these wipes. In truth, I probably won't be buying them again because they were no were near as soft as I would have hoped. Even though it says that it removes make up, I found it very difficult to do so using these wipes. And I had an even tougher time trying to remove waterproof mascara. I loved that it was fragrance free but that's about the only thing I liked. But I don't really think the wipes were worth the price.

Origins Super spot remover
And finally, another Origins product. This one for me, I would say was the biggest let down. Maybe I just expected to much to begin with. When I first used it, it worked fabulously, reducing pimples significantly within a few hours. But after a few days, I noticed that wherever I had put the gel on my face, the skin in that area would become darker and start to peel. I was alarmed as I had no clue why this had happened. My skin went back to normal after a few days of putting on bio-oil, but this still really worried me. I was incredibly disappointed as this was the one product I had been buzzing to buy. I think maybe it was because I used it overnight? I don't know. There is no instructions on the box so I'm still not cure whether I can use this or not. If you had a similar problem with the Super Spot remover then please let me know!

So this was my skincare update/ review, if you have any questions then just drop off comment and I'll get back to you! Have a lovely night!

Style Icons - Lilly Collins.

Yay! Its Style Icons time! A little earlier than usual as well! I can't begin to express how much I love writing these posts, and I also can't express the thanks for all the positive feedback I get! I really wish I had the time do them more than once a month. But for now, please enjoy my Lilly Collins Style Icons post!

Lilly Collins is cute, cute, cute! I've had my eye on her for a while but recently, she went around the world for a press tour of her new movie, Mortal Instruments, and I just loved pretty much every outfit she wore! I need to see that movie soon because it looks amazing.

I love this dress. I swear a whimper emerged from my mouth when I first saw it. The slight V neck line works gorgeously especially the way it hugs her shoulders. The pleated swing skirt with the black lace detail is definitely what makes this dress stand out  and the pleats give it that little extra umph. Everything else about this outfit is very simple; the minimal make up and absence of jewelry. I'm glad she didn't wear a necklace  otherwise it would have pulled my eyes away from the dress. The heels are also cute and quite. And how beautiful is that smile!

This outfit is a lot more statement and glamorous than the last and once again, lace is the 'look at me!' of this dress. The neckline is fantastic for if you have a strong collarbone and the long sleeves which I would usually say ages, work great for her. I love, love, love the way it covers her hand, its a unique aspect of the dress. The way the dress falls as it complements her shape completely. The stunning opening on the back is just the cherry on top of the cake. Hair chains were also in this summer and I love the way she pulled hair up.

This outfit is an absolute showstopper. The cut outs are daring but Lilly still manages to make it look classy. The white heels make it a wonderful all white outfit. I love that she has her hair half up and half down as it really elongates her neck. The lipstick colour is gorge; it actually reminds me of my Topshop lipstick in the shade The Damned, it's a brilliant contradictory to the white.

Dark Colours

Sigh. Lilly looks absolutely stunning. Like a modern Audery Hepburn. This dress is so unique; the quarter length bat sleeves, the leather detailing - I just love it to death. Her outfits are all just so simple with minimal jewelry and a super stylish hair do. The cheetah print heels are sooo statement and a great compliment to the black.

Here, Lilly has gone for a more gothic look and I think she's pulled it off fantastically. Long Black Dress's are a great for this season and need very minimal accessories. Ear cuffs are also an oncoming trend, they're super chic and edgy. I love the shade of lipstick she's wearing, dark lipsticks work great for Lilly's skin tone.

I love how classic and simple this dress looks. The way cross lace panels fall across the whole dress is what really makes it stand out. The choke collar gives a little bit of edge to the classy look. Once again, her make up is minimal and she isn't wearng any jewlery.

Separate pieces

This outfit is one my favouries. I love the whole shimmer knit look, this could acutally catch on as a trend. I love the bodycon skirt and how the top just drapes over.  The chunky chain is also a great peice to pull the whole outfit together.

Lilly looks awesome even in jeans! She jazzed up this simple all black ensemble with a super chic kimono (which I have been meaning to buy since forever) and killer glitterly heels. I love the bag and the sunglasses as well.

And last but not least, this gorgeous outfit. Blazers are fabulous and can make any outfit look smart even shorts! I love the purse shes holding as well.

Time to create my own inspired look!

Autumn Wishlist.

I feel so terrible. I haven't blogged in like three or four weeks. Probably the longest I've ever gone without blogging. School has officially taken over my life, so much so that I didn't even find a chance to put up my style icons post last month :( I started writing it but didn't get to finish in time so I'll put it up mid October instead of towards the end of the month. I am going to start to try my bestest to get up at least two posts every fortnight.  In the mean time, I managed to throw together my ultimate Autumn wishlist!

1. Parka - Topshop
2. Leggings - Asos
3. Boots - Asos
4. Cardigan - Topshop
5. Scarf - Asos
6. Jumper - Forever 21
7. Lipstick - Topshop

This parka was love at first sight. When I saw it online, I knew I had to have it. Of course, broke little me can't afford it but I still had to go in store to check it out. When I tried it on, I nearly cried. It's so soft and beautiful and cosy and just perfect. In fact, its two jackets in one. There is a thinner lighter lining inside that you can wear by itself  or take out. *Sigh*, such a perfect coat.

I don't actually wear leggings, but when I spotted these on Asos, I decided if there was ever a time I would buy a pair, it would definitely be these ones. The check pattern is adorable and the red is perfect for autumn.

*Droooooool* These boots are high up on my shopping list. They are totally in the season and I need a general black boot anyway. The cut outs just add the to the appeal.

I also tried this on in store because I just couldn't resist. Its brilliant for when its not to cold out and looks cute with just about anything. I love cardi's with buttons I can fiddle with and massive pockets. A definite must have.

I am as scarf person. Ask anyone who knows me. My scarfs are like another limb on my body, you will rarely see me out without one matter if its autumn, spring, winter or summer! It's coming to the time where I can buy anew scarf! I get one every year and this is fingers crossed, the one I'll buy this year.

Who doesn't love a good ol' jumper? The design is lovely and it just looks like it would keep me absolutely toasty.

My Topshop Makeup collection is fast growing and this lipstick is my next buy. I tested out the colour in Topshop and it would look gorgeous with autumn wear.

So this is my list! If you like anything on there, please let me know in the comments! I can't wait to start consistently blogging again! I have soooo many post ideas in my head, I might burst! Next post will be sometime mid week. Have a lovely night xx. Before I forget, I hit over 3000 pageviews about a week ago! So thank you to everyone who has clicked on a post!
