Liebster Award.

I checked my blog yesterday morning and scrolled down to see I had a comment from ForeverAmber letting me know that she had nominated me for the Liebster Award! I was over the moon even though I had no idea what this award was. So off to Google I went to search! It basically works like this:  Once you have been nominated you have to write eleven facts about yourself for your readers to see, then, you answer eleven questions asked by your nominator and then you have to nominate three to five other readers. The only rule is that the person you nominate has to have two hundred or less followers. I think this is an amazing way to recognize up and coming blogs. So here I go!

11 Facts about me:

I have an unusual fear of rings and bangles. I can't wear them unless I'm 100% sure they'll fit. I worry that they're gonna get stuck and I'm gonna have to amputate my finger or arm -__-

My wardrobe had no doors.

I don't like it when people tap me. It drives me insane!

I think sneezes are disgusting. I wish they didn't exist

I have two sisters, one older, one younger. That's right, middle child.

The only crushes I ever get are on celebrities; they're just hotter than average people, I don't know why!

I eat ketchup with EVERYTHING.

My favorite thing to do in the world is read.

I love acting, drama, theater and film. My ultimate dream would be to have something to do with one of these things in the future.

I can't stand school.

I can't wait to go to university!

ForeverAmber's Questions:

1. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
France, Paris. Hands down. I've been to France before but that was to stay with my cousins in Pau. I loved it so much and how amazing does Paris look?! I drove through it once but that was it.

2. Do you like reading blogs of people who are similar to you, the little blogs which are just starting off. Or do you like reading famous blogs like 'Zoella'?
To be honest, almost all of the blogs I read are quite big already but I don't discriminate. I'll read anything as long as I find it interesting enough. I love Zoella.

3.Which blog post out of all your blog posts are you most proud of?
Ohhh, that's a tough question. I think I would have to say my Style Icons series. They're my favorite to write and my most popular and its the most consistent thing I've done on this blog. I post them at the end of every month and I haven't missed one yet.

4. If you could be in one movie, which one would it be?
Again, a toughie! *Thinks for excessive period of time* The Avengers. It was my favorite movie of last year and how awesome would it be to have superpowers? And get to hang out with hotties like Thor and Captain America?!

5. I you had to choose one word that you would use to describe yourself, what would it be?

6. What are your goals in life?
As cheesy as it sounds, my ultimate goal is happiness. I believe I can achieve this by settling down, marrying the man of my dreams and having loads of little bouncing mini me's! As well as having an awesome career that is :)

7. What's one thing that most people probably wouldn't know about you?
I think most people I know don't realise how calm I really am. In general, I am a very happy, crazy, hyper person but a lot of the time, I like to sit down and have some chill time.

8. What/who made you start blogging ?
I wrote a post about this! There was no one thing or one person that made me start blogging, its actually quite complex, you'd have to read the post

9. If you could change the opinion of one famous person with your blog, who would it be?
I'm such a doofus. I don't even understand the question. Is it if I could change the opinion that other people have of the celebrity or is it said celebrities opinion of something?

10. Do you have Pamper evenings? If so, what do you do ?
I don't :( I want to have pamper evenings though, defintley have to start soon.

Now my questions to my nominees:

1. If you could be in one place in the world right now, where would it be?

2. What is your favorite song right now?

3. Is there a book you wish you had written yourself?

4.What is your favorite blog and why?

5.What is your favorite childhood show?

6. Do you enjoy traveling?

7. What are some things that make you really happy?

8. Have you ever tried Sushi? (Did you like it?)

9. Would you consider yourself a religious person?

10. When did you start your blog?

11. If you could learn one random skill, what would it be?

This part for me was quite difficult as I only follow one blog with less than two hundred followers. But I took a little nosy through some blogs, include those of my followers and found a few that I really liked!

1st Nominee: Anna @ Silveranchor
2nd Nominee: Marlene-Silver @ Everything Coco Chanel
3rd Nominee: Haley @ Haleywood

Style Icons - Holland Roden.

Holland Roden has THE best red carpet looks ever.

Holland Roden. Most know her as Lydia from Teen Wolf. To be honest, I don't know much shes in but she is still one gorgeous lady with a fantastic sense of style. She has described her personal style as liking clothes with "Great fabric and structure. I like a classically timeless look — before Ms. Bloomer was in the picture" and named her favorite red carpet designers; "Valentino, Marchesa, Balmain, Armani, Jason Wu, Vivienne Tam and more"At first, I wasn't sure how I was going to categorise all her outfits but I eventually decided to put them by colour and then separate pieces (skirts, shorts etc.) because I found it quite difficult to find similarities in her outfits. I know I always say there's gonna be a lot of pictures, but there's gonna be A LOT of pictures. The kinda post where you need a snack beside you.

Shades of Blue
Of all the outfits I'm about to post about, these three are my absolute favorite. Lets start with the first one. I'm not a big fan of shift dresses but the colour does it for me. This pastel blue is stunning on her and fits her complexion beautifully. I love the sheer three quarter length sleeve and the flowers just make it all the more quirky. The darker blue dress on the far right is so unique  I love the contrast in colour with the sleeves and the dress and the collar is super cute!

As White as White can get

My favorite of these three is defintley the first one. The whole outfit is so simple and it works. Minimal jewelry fits well with the bold pattern on the dress and red lipstick just looks fabulous against Holland's skin. Notice the red clutch! In the next two, Holland wears her hair up and I think it really draws more attention to the dresses she's wearing.

Black is a statement colour
Firstly, can I say that it seems that hair swept to the side in a waterfall of curls is obviously her favorite hairstyle? Its the one that suits her the most as well; I love it. And secondly, doesn't she look like three completely different people in each of these pictures? Black is a colour that looks great on everyone and it certainly looks good on Holland. Each of these are, minus the colour, completely different and that's one of the things I love most about Holland's style. I love the fluffy section at the bottom half of the first dress and the next two dresses are massive statements; the deep V down the chest is a real risk! But she still makes it look effortless. And I am loving the shoes shes wearing with the second dress. She wore something incredibly similar with the pastel blue dress.

Red, Peach and Pink
I love these colours on Holland. So much so that's there's nothing much I have to say about them! The peach in my opinion looks best on her.

Hold your horses. I love this outfit so much that I can hardly express how much . I'm crying at how jealous I am. That green is so beautiful and I love the way it drapes near the chest. I'm not sure what the material is but it looks like it would feel amazing. Those high waisted cream shorts are just gorge. And the leopard print shoes and clutch compliment the whole ensemble. This is the outfit I am SO recreating.

Kind of yellows

The great thing about these outfits is that her hairstyles are different in each one. I love the last dress and hairstyle the most. She looks absolutely fabulous!

As well as her glamorous, Holland can do casual and still look amazing. I love the loud print in the last picture and her tousled hair. The high neck blouse and bun in the second outfit are uber cute! And she is look super sexy in that mini skirt. The colour is very bold so goes well with the white top.
Now to create my own Holland Roden inspired outfit! (This is actually just a re-creation)

Blouse, Erika Cavallini, Shorts, Asos, Clutch, House of Fraser, Heels, Just Fab

It sucks that I couldn't post this on Saturday! I had so much to do before heading off to Manchester that I had no time what so ever. I'm just glad I was able to slot this in before the end of the month.

It's my birthday today! Whooo hooo! I will write a post soon on all my birthday presents; I think they may be two as most of them are giftcards!!

Style Icon's are my most popular posts (if you couldn't already tell from the sidebar!) so be sure to check out the others in the series:

Peanut butter and Oatmeal biscuits (dairy and gluten free).

These biscuits are a ball. They are soooooo easy to make and they bake in roughly ten minutes. All you need is twenty minutes in total. I got this awesome gluten and dairy free recipe from My Happy Place , which is my favorite food blog. Sophie's recipes are often healthy, gluten free and yet, still delicious! This is the first I've baked of hers but there is still plenty I need to try from.

Another great thing about this recipe is that its easy to adapt. My little sister is allergic to nuts so I promised her that the next set I bake, I'll use chocolate. Sorry for the sh*tty pictures the lighting was just not on my side.

I'm off to Manchester this weekend! I'm finally, finally, finally on summer break and this the only 'going-away' holiday I have this year. I'm ver ver excited. I'll be busy the whole time I'm there so I don't know if i'll be able to fit a post in. But if I start tonight and try and finish tomorrow, there will be a Style Icon's post up on Saturday!

All around the world.

Good morning everybody!

To be honest, my blog doesn't get that many hits. It doesn't bother really because whether people actually read my blog or not, I still loooove to write. But what I think makes up for the fact that I don't get many page-views, is my demographic.

I really wish I could be less cheesy but it genuinely amazes me that people from France to China and Pakistan stumble across my blog somehow. It puts the biggest smile on my face ever. The first thing I do when I log into blogger is check for any new countries and today I saw Kuwait! I've never even heard of it. This blog post ins't much but I really wanted to express my thanks and amazement.

Summer Wishlist.

1. Dress - Topshop
2.  Lipstick -Topshop
3. Playsuit - Topshop
4. Wedges - Forever 21
5. Shorts - Topshop
6. Crop Top - Motel Rocks
7. Skirt - Asos

Everyone needs that dress in summer that you can throw on with minimum effort and still look pretty in. I've been eyeing this one from Topshop for ages I absolutely love it. And the floral pattern just makes me love it even more.

I don't usually wear lipsticks but if I do, I stick to shades of red. But I love this colour so much, I'm willing to take that dive in the deep end. Even if it is a fairly dark shade for summer.

I don't actually own a playsuit. But if I had the money to buy one, it would defintley be this. I think the chest area is fairly modest compared to the short length which is always a good combo and I love how it gathers at the waist. The print is gorgeous to.

I loooooooooved wedges so much and these pair are almost perfect. I'm a sucker for buckles although I don't particularity like peep toes. Such a contradiction but I don't care; I'd still buy them.

These are definitely a gamble. I'm not entirely comfortable wearing shorts unless I'm in my own house or on holiday and these are pretty short. Oh well. I can still admire them from a distance.

Crop Top
I want this so bad. I've been meaning to buy since the sun appeared from behind the clouds but still haven't gotten the chance to. If I only buy one thing on this list, it will be this top, no doubt about it.

Skirts are my best friend, I need more and I shall soon be adding this to my collection. The bold print is gorgeous and this is an easy piece to dress down or up.

So these are my wishes! Father Christmas? If you're out there I want my presents early pleeasssee! What do you want in your summer wardrobe?

My posting everyday is going great! Although this should have been up this morning haha

How to: Make the simplest Iced Coffee known to mankind.

The perks of doing my work experience in a cafe, is that I get to make all sorts of caffeinated (which I don't usually drink) drinks. The Ice Coffee, in my opinion is the simplest and quickest to make. Its literally under one minute (minus the kettle boiling of course), so here is how to make one!

Step 1. Take one full teaspoon of any granulated coffee (I use Maxwell House Classic Roast) and one full tablespoon of sugar and mix them together with a very small amount of hot water. Just enough so it dissolves well.

Step 2. Fill 3/4 of a regular glass cup with crushed ice and then the rest of the glass with normal ice cubes.

Step 3. Fill 3/4 of the cup with milk

Step. 4 Pour the coffee you made earlier to fill the rest and stir!

Step 5. And the enjoy by the laptop as you write your blog post.

Do strawberries bleed?

In church on Sunday, a few weeks back, whilst enjoying a little snack of different fruits, a little girl came up to me and asked me "Do strawberries bleed?" Hence the title of this post. Nothing more, nothing less.

Strawberry Shortcake is another recipe out of my Cake Magic recipe book and this one proved more a challenge than I originally thought. The first issue I had was that the recipe, which was supposed to be enough to make three layers, only made two. I thought ho-hom, I can still make it work. The second issue was whipping the cream. Now there I was thinking "I can so do this by hand!". Ten minutes later, the double cream was still sitting in my bowl as watery as ever.

I had no other choice than to whip out (see what I did there) my electric whisk and let it do all the magic. By now my shortcakes where done and I took them out of the oven to find they were a crumbly mess. Not good. I took a deep breath and though to myself, I can do this. I thought wrong. Whilst trying to get one of the layers out of the pan. I hit a bit to hard causing the cake to go flying out of the pan and into a crumbly pile of nothing on the floor. Oh, how at this point I nearly ran out of the kitchen in tears.

But no. I persevered. To scared to try and get the second layer out of the tin, I worked on it with the base still firmly attached to the bottom of the shortcake. I threw on the whipped cream and cut up strawberries and made a pretty decent looking cake. Although I was still mourning from the loss of one layer, an idea hit me. I gathered up the crumbs (that were still goood of course) and stuffed them into the bottom of little pots, topped them with cream and then strawberries. I was pretty pleased with the results.

I was very happy with myself in the end because I tried to make the best of a bad situation.

Meeting Patricia Bright.

I'm starting my post-every-day today! Super excited to be keeping this up and I am starting with something I should have posted weeks ago!

A few weeks back Patricia Bright held a meet up fairly close to me and I jumped out of my socks with excitement! Patricia, also known as Britpopprincess, creates Youtube videos of outfits, make-up and just life in general and I absolutely adore her. She is always a bubble of excitement and by watching just one of her videos, you would know this almost instantly. Patricia is one of my favorite Youtubers and I also love reading her blog, Moments of Style.

Not so great shot, but there where so many people!

My first ever Pinkberry yogurt; I loved it, loved it, loved it!

Soooooo many more people turned up than she thought would! Had to take it outside!

Patricia was lovely to meet  and she was just as kind on screen as off.

Prioritise, Organise and Apologise.

My last post was last week Thursday. This is one of the many reasons that I've disappointed myself this week. I am on work experience (there will be a post on this in the near future) which means I have two weeks off of school and I told myself I would spend these two weeks getting done everything that I normally couldn't because of school hours and the overload of homework I always had. This included writing my story, revising maths (which I am terrible at) and most importantly focusing on my blog. But this past week, I haven't done any of that. I've lazed around every time I've got home from work and watched episodes of 2 Broke Girls and Suburgatory.

So the first thing I need to do is prioritise. I have so many things running through my mind that I need to put them in order of importance. My piortites need to be clear. My number one priority for next week is this blog. Everyday of this week, starting from tomorrow I will write a post. I have them all planned and I will try my utmost to go through this without fail. They should be up everyday before 1:30, before I go to work.

The next thing is to organise. As well as my blog, like I mentioned earlier, I have to write my novel and revise for maths all while going to work and doing other daily tasks. So I've decided the best way to keep myself organised is to write To Do lists. Everyday, I will write a list of things I need to do and I'll make sure that they are all crossed off by the end of the day. This method really works for me.

And the last thing I need to do is apologise. I am so sorry for the lack of posts. I feel that I don't past as often as I used to and that I really need to pick up. So after the full week of posts, I will start posting three times a week; Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I'm so excited for this new approach I have to my blog and just life in general.

Me aside, how was everyone's week?

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside.

The second the sun started to peak out from behind the clouds, my family and I packed our things and headed to the South-end on sea. Ironically, we got down there and the sun was shining but the wind was atrocious. I had spent ages fixing my hair, only to have it attacked, hence why there are no pictures of myself. I looked terrible. That aside, we got there pretty early so the sea front was fairly empty which was nice. We settled quickly and shared delicious hot dogs that we had brought along. To be honest, there wasn't much to do on the seaside itself so we walked around for a bit and then wondered into a mini amusement park. Unfortunately, I am not a roller coaster type of person, but I'm a sucker for arcades. If you left me alone in an arcade, I would not leave until they were closed. In total, we spent £15 there. And what did our tickets win us? A light up yo-yo and two lollipops. It was still good fun though.

Hunger struck very quickly, so bought ourselves some tea and freshly made doughnuts. They were yum. We drove home tired and very much battered from the wind, but content. I love days like this. They make me super excited for the summer holidays which are just round the corner!

Tomorrow is practically my last day of term as I am off to work experience next Monday. No school for two weeks! I have plenty of posts planned. I should probably get off blogger now and revise for my maths mock tomorrow.

What do you do like to do beside seaside?
