Well apparently I disappeared off the face of the earth.

Honestly, I don't really have any valid excuses for not blogging. A few that come to mind include; I'm so unorganised, I can barely create time to do school work let alone write posts.
Around the time my last post went up, I discovered The Vampire Diaries and have dedicated about 90% of my time to watching the show (sad, I know, tell me about it)
I've had nothing to blog about.

My AS exams are literally around the corner (a week and a bit away) so I'm not promising that I'm going to start bursting out with posts, I just wanted anyone who may stumble across my blog to know that the author did not suddenly drop dead in February. I will be trying my absolute best to pull my unorganised ass together and make up for the (counts on fingers), two months of silence when I finish my exams.

Until then, ciao.

The Blogger's Market (+ 2nd Bloggingversary!)

Last weekend, I popped on a tube to Camden to visit The Blogger's Market; a little pop-up shop set up by Olivia, Carrie, Dunya, Kristabel and Lucy. I was beyond excited when I heard about this event as I love all of the bloggers, so getting a chance to buy some of their items and have a chat was something I couldn't miss. The atmosphere was incredible, despite the poor weather, and it was so nice to have so many bloggers all in the same room. I managed to nab myself a skirt and top off of one of Kristabel's racks, another top from Olivia (as well as a cheeky brownie) and a gorgeous handmade print of off Carrie. All in all, I was very happy with my purchases and I can't wait for another event like this. I just wish I had taken more pictures!

On another note, yesterday was the second birthday of plumcherrytree! I really can't believe that its been two years that I've been rambling on the internet. It has become one of my favourite pastimes and has opened up so many opportunities and activities (like The Bloggers Market!). I love this space and I love all my readers and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

I hope you all have a good weekend!

Big Girl Camera.

Having badgered my mum to buy me a camera for two years, she finally caved and bought me the Canon 700D. This acted as a Christmas present and most probably birthday present for the next three years. If we could measure excitement in units, mine would be off the scale. Photography is a huge passion of mine - I'm a sucker for beautiful photographs and films. One picture can have ten million different interpretations and I love the freedom of expression that comes with an image. Having studied Photography at GCSE, i'm no stranger to Canon's and what makes a good picture. But I've not actually used for one for almost a year now so I'm going to spend the next few weeks re-learning all the features as well as how to tie the bleeding strap on. I can't wait to photograph more frequently now and share with you guys all my pictures.

More Music.

I know I wrote a post like this not so long ago but I'm finding more and more that music is becoming a form of escapism for me. Studying four A-levels can be fun but it can also be hard, tiring and leave you feeling like the world is crashing down on you. Music and books have been helping me latley but more so music. And having recently discovered some even more great artists, I felt like it would be a crime not to share them.

Marian Hill
This duo are like nothing I have ever heard before. I'm yet to find a song I don't like, I wish I could write more but then it would just be half a page about how much I love them. Listen to Lips, One Time, Whiskey and Got It.
I'm still in the midst of discovering Banks and I love her sound. Its alsmot like an upbeat Lana Del Rey. If you listen to her, leave suggestions please! Listen to Waiting Game and This is What it Feels Like.
This was just a quick post that I hadn't planned - I was enjoying the music so much I just had to share it. Give these great artists a listen.

Bring it on 2015.

I am buzzing. After having such a terrible 2013, I made every second of 2014 my year and I am determined to make 2015 even bigger and better. I have so much planned for 2015; new plans for my life, my future, my education and this blog and I can't wait to share them all with you. This year brings me closer to my first set of A-Level exams and even though I am slightly nervous, I also feel slightly elated because I'm going to work hard to get the grades I want. I'm going to push myself even further away from my comfort zone because the results of doing so in 2014 made me feel like a brand new person. It might not necessarily mean half-way across the world, but this year, I'm going to  make an effort to travel. Maybe Paris, Amsterdam or Brighton. Maybe all three, who knows! I'm going to connect with more people - I'm tired of being the person who has to wait for someone to talk to her. Even if it kills me, I'm going to go up to at least one person this year and say a simple hello. 2015 is the year I'm going to reinvent this blog. I'm finally going to put full on dedication into putting up amazing posts and not just half-hearted ones. For Christmas, my mum got me a big girl camera and I am beyond esatic to put it to good use. I've even been browsing Etsy for a new template.
In short, 2015 is once again going to be my year; the year I grow as a person for greater and bigger things.

Christmas Dinner.

This year, I was feeling extra Christmas-y so decided that I would cook the entire Christmas Dinner for my family, but considering it was only for six people, the job wasn't that big. I got up at the crack of dawn (8am) to prepare the turkey and peel the potatoes and halfway through the day everything was under control. Fast forward to 4pm and I was frantically running around the kitchen trying to bake a cake as well as make the perfect gravy but thank goodness for my sister who helped out. It was so lovely to make my first Christmas dinner and the food tasted amazing. We had so much fun afterwards playing games and watching movies and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you a happy new year in advance. I hope you're all enjoying the leftovers to!
